Search and replace in TIA

wax Advanced Member Joined: 6/1/2010 Last visit: 1/17/2023 Posts: 36 Rating: (4)	Hello, in Step7 microwin we can use ctrl+F for searching and replace in the whole code block (Sbr & OB) or in the whole tags table, a word or a keyword in the comment and in the tags. for the replace in Step7 microwin you can also shearch in a selected area and it was really helpfull. in TIA after lot of try I don't find a way to do that. if you are for exemple in OB1 the search works only in OB1. it's not really usefull in this forum I don't find a threads who speak about that for TIA it's very frustating because as i understand I can see the option in grey. (circle in red on the attachement) how can I activate this ? the help say only that the available option depend of the activated windows in the interface. but OBx or FBx look to me the good place isn't it ? There are some threads in the forums on the subject, but there is no simple answer to help. The cross reference tool is the best way for me to search between FB/FC/OB but you have to know the tag first.

Its very usefull to search for comments (TODOs, etc) not just cross-reference by known TAG

If it helps... you can search in the project text for a more global search. I have used that before for changing spelling for all network titles.
