Does anyone know how to search, or reference which DB's are using a particular UDT? |

Hello BitBoy interesting question and one that I never had to worry about. X-Ref won't work (as you would probably know already), but one way that I can think of is this: 1.) Open any Block (e.g. OB1) 2.) Create a SOURCE file of all DB's (File menu->Generate Source) 3.) Open the SOURCE file and use EDIT->FIND/REPLACE to find UDT usage in the DB's. There may be other ways to X-ref UDT usage, so if anyone out there hasother ideas please let us know. I hope this helps |

It can be done directly from ombstx/offline/subblk.dbf. But it's harder, then method proposed above) |

Hello again BitBoy would you believe it, thereis another way to gain a nice & quick overview of UDT usage/referencing and its available as part of the "Check Block Consistency" function. To use it right click on your Blocks folder, start "Check Block Consistency",select "Dependency Tree" and voila - all UDT's are listed with all DB's/Blocks that use them neatly displayed as a reference underneath(and if you drill down further it will of course show you were the DB/Block itself is used/referenced). Attached is anexample which shows the result and while this advise may come a little bit late, I hope it may help in the future. |
