Standard implementation would be through Y-links, that way all slaves are connected to both CPUs at the same time, and diagnpstics will come to the active CPU. See the chapter on Y-Link commissioning for more details in the following manual: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1142696 If you are connecting your DP slaves in another fashion, then you need to provide more information so we can evaluate your problem. My system is like this: CPU A ------ IM-153 (1 - RACK A) ------ IM-153 (1 - RACK B) CPU B ------ IM-153 (2 - RACK A) ------ IM-153 (2 - RACK B) So every cpu is directly linked only to the first IM in each rack. I would like to diagnose faults on the IM connected to the reserve CPU. With 300 system i can use data exchange area and not-redunded program zones, but i am new with H system.

Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 2/16/2023 Posts: 2705 Rating: (311)	Dear Stefano, With OB82 you can get the diagnostic information about which IM the message is coming from. You might also use Report System Error {known as RSE} when it is an newer H-CPU. In the header (20 bytes) of OB82 is the information from which station the message is coming.
