which discuss about TM MAIL (send email by using mail server) is actually not working due to limitation, and what shown in the page is actually not working at all.

1)TM_MAIL can only communicate with an e-mail server using SMTP through Port 25. The assigned port number cannot be changed. The problem is, mail server such as Gmail is not supported, and the so called "tested" mail server such as gmx.com is not really working as well.

Anyone know which mail server is supported and successfully send email by s7 1200?

2) When you drag the TM_MAIL from Teleservice, double click on the function block and you will seethe TM_MAIL_DB has a "lock" on it. I found a linkhttp://bistanika-siemens.blogspot.com/2010/10/general-information-about-product-s7.htmland try on the sample program, it is not working as well. Guess what, the sample program successfully remove the "lock" and somehow the program is running, but the email does not send out, it shows 7002(busy) in the status.

3) How do you parameterize the "TM_MAIL" instruction to send e-mails with the SIMATIC S7-1200?Fig01 shows "how simple it can be" to do the program. I doubt. Please note that top of the the function block "%DB3" and the output of the TM_MAIL is using "DB2". Similar things appear in the sample program that I mentioned above, which I cant figure out the trick hidden behind it.

Therefore, I would really appreciate if anyone can answer the following queries.

a) Which mail server can work with TM MAIL?

b) Can TM MAIL send email directly from itself?

c) How to get rid of the "lock" when configure the DB of TM_MAIL
