Selection of Memory Card for S71200

Where i can find selection information in programming software? Also in my project am using a 6AV6 647-0AA11-3AX0 as HMI device, so HMI screens also stored in same memory card on cpu or it stores some where else?. Thank you.

Hi ub.asm, At first Memory Card is optional as far as S7-1200 is concerned. Memory Card may be used as either aProgram Card or aTransfer Card. It can be used to Update the Firmware of the CPU also. For more detailsrefer SIMATIC S7 S7-1200 Programmable controller- System Manual The KTP400 Basic Mono PN (6AV6 647-0AA11-3AX0)will support up to 50 screens for which you don't need any memory cards.

Hello, Take a look there - http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/48845204. My advice is to buy a 24MB as for firmware update of CPU is requested the same. This HMI panel has internal flash memory in which the HMI device image and project are stored. Best regards, Hristo MIhalev
