Selection of Variable in Trend View

Dear All,

I have 300 instruments that have to be displayed in trend view one at a time.

I should do something that allow me to change archive file and variable that will be connected to Trend View present just in one page. Otherwise i will have to do 300 pages...

Is it possibile to apply the same solution with Wincc RT Advanced V.13 Upadte 8 installed on PC as described in following topic?

I will be greatful for any material regarding how to do it or any other solution that help me to reduce working time.

If you need a real time trend that will be simple by using adress multiplexing but for data log trend as I know you need to create a trend view for each tag because it's not allowed to dynamize the process value in the trend view properties.

There is a project example for long-term archiving, it could help you.

Unfortunatelly i need to use archive. Next time i will simply buy Wincc Professional.

Regarding the project example that you suggest me to see i have one important question. This is exactly what i should do as a second step. Is there any way to load diffrent archives with this method or there is the same problem that i faced for the trends so i will have to do 300 pages for long therm archive?

is not accepted because it's too complicated for the client. I should do everything in runtime.

Thank you for your advice. If it works it would be fantastic! Could you describe with more details operations described in point number 3?

In particular:
-How to hide 300 pages on one screen and select later the one that you need, is it possibile with Text list? (The only way i know is to use 300 buttons with the sensor name that when i push one of them it will change visiblity of the trend view).
-How to copy the specific archive to archive ,,Trend_archive"?

I tried this this method with about 30 trends and it works well for me.

Create a text list with 300 values (1 for "Trend n°, 2 for "Trend n°2",...) and then dynamize your trend views visibilities with the selected trend number.

How to copy the specific archive to archive ,,Trend_archive"?

 When the user change the trend number you execute a script which copy the selected tag archive to the Trend archive and to do so take a look in the load_archive script in the attached project example.

I have been studing a little bit the script even if i have no experience with that language.

What i understand is that inside the script ,,Copy_Archive" i should write the name of the archive to be copied (Raw 6 - Name of the original archive) and give the name of the file with my records which default name is ,,Press_01".

Then in ,,Load_Archive" in raw 21 i should repeat the name of the file with recrods.

As i have 300 instruments, should i prepare 300 scripts ,,Copy_Archive" for every sensor and then do the same for ,,Load_Archive" or there is a way to do everything with one script?

If it's possibile i would like to ask you to share the part of your project regarding my issue so like that i could use it as a training material.

I used the project in your link to study the basic case with 1 Tag only. My problem is how use the script having 300 sensor without creating 300 scripts for every tag and maintain the rule requested by the customer : No more than one TAG in one Trend View. They have to be separated.

Here is a project example with 5 trends, you can just adapt it to display 300 trends.
