Hi 1. See this FAQ: Which version of the function blocks do you need to operate a CP 342-5? This FAQ will help you to understand tranfering of data. What should you watch out for when configuring a CP342-5 as DP master? but in your case I guess you need this Notes on linking a CP342-5 as DP slave to a DP master with STEP 7 regards |

hi, thanks u very much for info. from all of this I got clear cut idea abt configuration and programming. Just single question in mind. The address of Configured CP are 256 - 271(total 16 bytes). But in the DP_SEND instruction in CP_LADDER I gave starting address i.e. 16# 100 (Hexadecimal) Ansd Ihave to send 210 Bytes. so I write address P# db80.dbx0.0 bytes 210. Is it right way? bcz total no of send bytes are 210 and CP address is 16 bytes only? Here below attached Pdf file of HW config and Instruction used. AttachmentCP-342-5.pdf (558 Downloads) |

hello sir, thanks u all. I changed that address to 100H. when I put FC1(Data Send) & FC2(Data receive) blocks in the run mode, FC2 works fine without error but FC1 error bit goes 1 and status bit shows error code 8093. I search for this code, but I dont find explanation any where. I attached the PDF snap shot of that.can u tell ma what is this code about? thanks in advance.
