I am using 6AV6381-2BP07-0AV0 this WinCC 7.0 SCADA, it is been 4 years, Floating Licence Combo Of RC & RT.

now i want to Configure OPC server with this Station so that i can Acess Data from third Party.

MY question is Do I need Separate License to Configure OPC server in Wincc?

please guide.

in WinCC V7.0 you do not need an extra License for OPC.

If you want to use OPC UA Server in WInCC V7.2/7.3/7.4 then you have to use Connectivity pack License.

But for OPC Communication Channel or OPC DA Server you need no License

server means that you are providing data. Clients read data from the server.

So if I understand correctly you want to read data from a 3rd-party system?

If yes and if it is only actual values (OPC DA) you can read these data without any additional license.

If you want to read data of WinCC into your 3rd-party system (WinCC is really the OPC server) you have to consider:

a) just want to provide actual data (OPC DA) --> no additional license

b) want to provide historical data (OPC HDA) or alarms (OPC A&E) --> additional license needed.

So please specify what you want to do exactly.
