SEPARATE SUPPLY at 2U1,2V1 and 2W1

Hi All,

I have a few questions regarding the Input power supply:

-Is it possible to use a Separate Supply source (with battery backup) to provide Power at 2U1 , 2V1 and 2W1? 

- Is it OK to provide Single phase supply at 2U1 , 2V1 and 2W1 instead of 3 Phase Supply?

-Or can we supply a DC Supply  at P500 and M500 (300VDC ) instead of supplying 3 Phase Supply at 2U1 , 2V1 and 2W1 ???

Yes you may connect provided links to be disconnected between 1U1, 2U1 1V1 2V1 & 1W1 2W1. But with this connection & if there is phase angle difference or phase reversal & if some one connects the links, heavy short circuit may damage the module. Moreover when original connection is retained, 2U1, 2V1 & 2W1 supply is provided thru commutating reeactor which is more safe.

No, it is not designed for single phase & moreover how & where you will connect neutral?

 If I say some thing straight , please excuse me.

Why you have this question? is real need in the m/c system automation line configuration need? or you set up test bench , you have no 3 phase power in your office ? Or you just ask as you think by yourself. as I think in your question most of them are non senses

If you need some special function. just ask for that function to see Siemens device can meet you need.

AS the design for the ,(I think you are talking SIMODRIVE system power supply). function not only for power supply itself but also for the consumer after it. there are consumer drive module control card ,NCU and so on. they need not only DC600V but also AC 57V 200Hz, DC5V ,+/- 15V and so on. it designed to input 3 phase AC480V .
