Server and Multiclient : SSMUnload function

vince Posts: 6 Rating: (1)	With WinCC V5.1, I have configured a server and some multiclient and I use the Split Screen Manager. I configure a pushbutton with a C action, because for some picture, I would like that the operator become the picture in full screen and for some other, with the SSM configuration. This works correctly when I display and use it on the server. But this button does notwork correctly on the multiclient. In the C action of this button appears only : SSMUnload; OpenPicture ("clavier"); Iassume that I have to "give the hand to the client" so that the action will act on the client but I don't know which function I have to use therefor. If you can help me, I would be happy Thanks for yourattention, Vince

Vince, it sounds like you have it working on the server but not the client. Obvious question, but do you have BPC installed on the client ? Unfortunately I don't use BPC much so have practically no knowledge of it. Hope we can help though.

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	BPC has been available starting from WinCC V4.x, as you´ve said chargeable option. Starting with WinCC V6 - it´s shipped for free with WinCC [:D]

vince Posts: 6 Rating: (1)	Thanks Nemo and Salma, BPC is an option with WinCC v5.1, but it is well installed on both server and client. BPC is necessary to configure Split Screen Manager with the Split Screen Wizard (in WinCCExplorer/Base Data) My question is coming because I want a little bit complex application using sometime SSM and sometime not, depending on the picture used by the operator. vince Posts: 6 Rating: (1)	Yes, I ran APDiag too. And nothing appears in the window. But I have to make some other tests. In fact,in the script, there is not only the instructionSSMUnload. There is also the function "OpenPicture". When I said that the Unload doesn'twork,WinCC doesn'twork anymore on the client. I can't make any other command after I try the button with the "Unload" inside. I can't stop the WinCC Runtime properly. I have to make some "End of task" and reboot the PC. It seems thatthe Function "OpenPicture" alone makethis trouble. In the help of this function, it's written : fonctionnement interne (help français). What does it mean ? Thanks

The OpenPicture has one argument, the picture name, and the function simply opens that picture. I think only someone who has used SSM can help with this one. Sorry.
