server client project facing problem in downloading

R&R Posts: 69 Rating: (3)	Dear Experts, Iam using server client project ,in this one esos,one non-redundunt server,one client. All the systems we are using Windows XP only including server also. when i downloading from esos to server it shows these following error"SQL server does not have access rights to open so downloading is aborted.But all the files are downloaded to server .When i open the wincc page it shows this error "it doesn't have the user rights to perform the action".What is the remedy. PD: Names and passwords have to be the sameon each computer. Powers Users SIMATIC HMI SIMATIC HMI CS Regards.

R&R Posts: 69 Rating: (3)	Dear ADSU, We are using same username and password for all the three pc.But it shows" user is not having rights to open".It shows when we open wincc in server & client.we are configured as workgroup only.And then when we download from esos to server at that time it shows sql server doesn't have access rights. Yoga Shankar Posts: 288 Rating: (22)	Dear R&R, Firstly Windows XP cannot be used as OS on a PC which you want to use as PCS7 OS Server. This is not supported. You will have to install Windows Server 2003. Please check the Readme of PCS7 for more info.

R&R: I understood that you have created the same user on each computer but, Are they members of SIMATIC HMI, SIMATIC HMI VIEWER, POWER USERS groups in case of the servers and clients, andaditionaly SIMATIC HMI CS on the ES?

Nil96 Posts: 325 Rating: (14)	Hey R&R, Also check for the folder permissions where you are downloading the project. The folder should have permissionsto read, write and modify. Apart from this you may also check what ADSU has suggested reg power users, simatic HMI... Rgds Nil
