Servo / Sinamics

RARIC Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello, Please help. I have a project regarding S5 to S7 PLC migration of a stamping machine which is easy for me. But my client requested to also add the upgrading of their servo motor/driver which is connected to the plc through DI/DO interface (third party). The motor is Siemens with P/N: 1FT5062-0AC01-2-Z and its driver/controller is with a different brand. Here are my concerns: 1. Is there a direct replacement for this motor? Especially the mounting/dimensions must still be similar so we can still utilized the gearbox. 2. I'm planning to replace the controls using Sinamic S120 then connect it to the S7 PLC through Profibus. Seeking your advice. RARIC

RARIC Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Thanks Daniel. I will start browsing the manuals. I think this only means that retrofitting is not that easy. I'm thinking of retaining the motor and just replace the driver/controller to Siemens. This will be the fastest procedure with regards to implementation too. RARIC
