Hi all, I have no idea what I am doing with PLCs but all I need to do is set the IP address of an S7-1200 that I recently got. I don't know how it has been programmed previously or how it is configured, but I just need to change the IP.

I am using SIMATIC Manager, and I went to 'edit ethernet node' which is what I did with my S7-400, I hit browse and found the device. I am able to see it's current IP address and gateway setting, but if I try to assign a new IP address configuration it says:

I have never tried changing the IP address of the S7-1200 with Simatic Manager because you can not use that software to code the S7-1200. I would use Step7 with TIA Portal but a tool like Proneta should work too.
