Hello experts

       when i use a gear synchronazation.  first ,i need to use _enableaxis on master and slave axis.

and then use _enablegearing command. Sometimes if i switch the master value ,i need to use _setmaster.

       My question: i need to use _enablegering firest or ues _setmaster first?

_Setmaster.  The gear function needs to know what master it is using.

there is a parameter "tranientBehavior" if set "WITH_NEXT_SYNCHRONIZIN"

is that means :the master value will not switch until the next _enablegearing actived again?

The two are independent. 

When the gear command is executed, it will use whatever master is set.

 Now ,after reading the manual , i think when there is only a master for the following axis, just use _enablegearing  or _mc_gearin.If ,there is more than one master for the following ,before the  enablegearing ,i need to setmaster first.

Not being 100% sure, but I think that even when there's only one master for a following axis if you don't use at least once _setmaster explicitly then the sync master will point to TO#NIL and gearing command will fail.

You may be correct, but I remember reading in the manual that a master will be selected at random at startup.  That implies that if there is one master, then the configured master will always be selected.  I always have two with my applications, one virtual for simulation and one external encoder for real operation, so I always explicitly select the real axis as master in a startup task.
