biancavy Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hi all, i've been using lots of 0BA6's for a project ; It contained a waiting and spraying timer that could be set with two potentiometers. Worked great. Now they want to 'upgrade' to the new 0BA8 with an external TDE to get rid of the potentiometers and use the keyboard to set the timers . This might be a stupiud question , but how are those values stored ? I don't have a device here to test it right now but i want to go ahead and update my software already; It doesn't seem clear to me how the logo goes along with storing values in memory ? thanx

ixo65 Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 12/10/2023 Posts: 31592 Rating: (3928)	In configuration mode, only the parameters can be changed if the 0BA8 is in operator mode, no admin mode. To enter the configuration mode, press the ESC button for 2 seconds to be longer. Then, the cursor jumps to the field whose value can be changed. Accept with OK. There you can use the cursor keys left / right in the Select the appropriate number, change the value using the cursor up / down. Is set to the desired value, again accept with OK. In the simulation, you do it with a double-click on the field (see attachment). Do want an example (for 0BA8 or other)? Attachment Timer setting over display or TDE.zip (149 Downloads)

biancavy Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	I think i have another question about the same issue for another project i'm going to use a 0BA8 for curtain control. The curtain is beeing rolled up/down on a tube. It takes 15 turns for a full open/close cycle. Now i wanted a dial on my controller with a potentiometer to set the curtain from 0-100% so i needed to know the current position of the curtain so i could open/close it with an analog comparator. I used a 5K multiturn potentiometer (10 turns) and a gear reduction of 1:2. It didn't seem to be realiable at all, so i thought i was going to use rotary encoders instead with a +/- counter That should work fine, but whenever the power goes down, i loose the position of the curtain as i cannot store the actual value. Or can i ?
