SF Failure after power down Profisafe I-O ET200S + ET200M

PHAAR Regular Member Joined: 10/15/2008 Last visit: 4/17/2024 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Sometimes after a powerdown it is not possible to re-integrate / de passivate some of the safe-I-O modules. One or more modules do have an SFerror. In 80% of the powerdown situationsthere is no problem.We have 2 equal projectsone in the Netherlands and a lookalikein France. Both projects have the same behavior. However, in France, the CPU 416-F2 and its PS305 powersupply's (IM power)are connectedon a UPS system. Only the power on the I-O modules goes down after a power-loss. The only way tot reset the SF failure (and the internal I-O error) is to powerdownthe IM module or pull the I-O module from the backplane, wait a few seconds, and replace the module into the I-O rack. (module isn't wrong) Because of the internal I-O error re-integration an de-passivation is not possible. This situation happens3-5 times a year. Most of the timedifferent I-O modules are involved. The DO8xDC24V/2A module in the diagnostic also claims a missing extarnal power supply. I see there only a "coming event" andI do not see a "going event" telling that this problem is solved. The same apply for the DI24xDC24V. You can only reintegrate if ACK_REQ is available for the module (which means that the module estimates thatthe error is gone). Communication errors cannot be eliminated via automatic reintegration. An explicitreintegration is required. For the missing power indication, may be the powering up sequence should be investigated. Do the periphery get power back later than the IM?

But the behavior is equal to the sister project in Holland. Why recognisesthe I-O module not the power up on the I-O system? The failure isn't very consequent and is spread random over different remote locations. The youngest appl. is less then a year old and is equipped with te latest versions. More suggestions are welcome.
