SF Fault on CPU 315-2 DP

Joseph David-Zimu... Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	We currently have a SF fault on our CPU 315-2 DP processor. The module information (through SIMATIC Manager) shows “Parameter assignment error”. This is putting on STOP mode and not allowing the program to run. An MRES reset had been attempted already. We would appreciate your guidance on how this fault can be cleared. Thanks

Thanks for the assistance In your project, go to HW-configuration page. With your mouse click on the CPU. You can then read the projected module number in lower window. To find the installed module number go to your CPU. You will find module order number of installed CPU on lower edge of the CPU regards

Joseph David-Zimu... Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi ALL, Thanks for the assistance so far. Apologies a little misinformation. I checked the module order number again wrt that installed and that projected. It is the same. Module Order No. installed (the device cover) - 315-2AG10-0AB0 Module Order No. of HW config - 63S7 315-2AG10-0AB0 This CPU 315-2 DP has two other cards connected to it; the 6GK7 342-5DA02-0XE0 (ie. CP342-5 cards). Both cards also have the SF fault and Buffer fault active.On HW config when I click on the PROFIBUS DP master network (showing beside the table),I getthe???? status. Also see attached screenshot obtained via TIA toolusing our Siemens Field PG (which was connected directly to the CPU315-2 DP via MPI interface). A step by step procedure to resolving this issue, including if required the configuration steps for the Module Order No. if required will be appreciated. Attachment Siemens issue.pdf (152 Downloads)
