Shift Register help

i am in the pre planning stage of a little project that requires:

3 x separate rooms with common feed input & extract fan

The fans will change speed according to which room is being used

no rooms in use = 0%, 1 room = 33%, 2 rooms = 66%, all three rooms = 100%) ( i have this covered by using the multispeed input on the drives)

it does not matter which rooms are in use but if the above is true then the fans must go to the speeds mentioned

Each room with 1G switch.  Switch on = lights on plus airflow to that room

i was thinking of using shift registers but i have never used these before and i little unsure on how to get it to work. anyone know of a good example i could use?

nice job but i forgot to mention the output is a digital and i am 3 outputs to the multispeed inputs on the VSD. is there anyway i can convert that analog signal to a digital out x3?

Your correct but it was late last night when i posted. yes its Q1,Q2 & Q3 and these will be wired to the VSD inputs for mulispeed selection.
