ShopMill problems

The machine is in 3 1/2 axes (X, Y, Z and an B positioning axes) and a tool magazine aspositioning axes from PLC. When I try to make an interpollating mouvement (even with two axes) with G code, the CNC givethe error masage: "Interpolation of more than 4 axes' not set" (8030). Why? Because there are 6 axes in the chanel? Could enybody tell me?

Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (57)	Hi, Not an easy one. The control thinks it wants to move more than the programmed axes. I would look to a G code default setting that is calling up 5 axis operation or something similar. Have a look in the ISO machine page and select the window for active G codes and see if anything look out of place. The solution may be to load standard machine data. Reload the drive data and see if all works OK. Then put in the settings etc for shopmill. I'm assuming there are no axes with shared torque motors or any electronic gearing selected. I've set up channels with 7 axes and not had interpolation problems.
