My questions are rather.. - which section did you ask for these - why do you want to select the disabled selections (wish to set retentive range?) Greetings. w

For an FB, you will not see those options available. If you want to have retain set for your FB interface, you will need to think about your program a bit more and structure differently to get retain to work.

That applies to the processor used, right? If I remember from using S7-300s you have a hardware configuration setting for retention OR the CPU was on a battery and everything was retained. It would have been possible to set the "retain" function if it was an S7-1200. The image show an IM151-8, which is not an S7-1200. w

Fani.Ing Posts: 77 Rating: (3)	Thank you guys for explaing it. As William mentioned that "It would have been possible to set the "retain" function if it was an S7-1200." I don't know in which other CPU's its not possible to retain the values but in IM-151-8 its not. In the attached picture CPU 1511 is used and its possible to retain the values in FB.
