Show number of alarms active in HMI

oscarfeme Regular Member Joined: 1/17/2017 Last visit: 3/27/2025 Posts: 3 Rating: (3)	I have the same doubt, but I just need to show number of alarms active in HMI, all solutions that I can find are for WinCC 7.X, but non for WinCC Comfort/Advanced... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from WinCC HMI to PLC alarm count.

itafusna Silver Expert Joined: 2/17/2020 Last visit: 4/16/2025 Posts: 1250 Rating: (235)	Hi oscarfeme, I am afraid that within the WinCC Comfort/Advanced software there is no interface or functionality provided to access data and information from internal alarm and message management system. In the new WinCC Unified Runtime software, I believe there is an interface available via Javascript within the Runtime to interact with the alarm management system and e.g. read all alarms. In WinCC Comfort/ Advanced you could read out an Alarm archive with Microsoft Visual Basic Scripts from the file system, but there you cannot get live data. Maybe other workaround dependent if the Alarms are PLC alarms could be an indirect solution to fetch the data from the PLC web server if they are provided there. The PLC might gather this information for you if you use PLC Alarms.

Go to discrete alarms, select all alarms and add the functions to events of all selected alarms. Regards, Frink
