i am using SICAM PAS V7 - SP3 installed in windows 7 ultimate. i am using SIEMENS PC " IPC 847C "

i have the following problem:

- the devises under SNMP like full server and gatway are appearing as a stand by devise although they are running and linked to the network.
and in some PC the SICAM PAS Configuration SW shows frees window.

is there any specific setting to do to make my SICAM PAS work properly in Windows 7, cause none of these problem i have seen in Windows XP

can you please advise how I can uninstall the SIMATIC Management System. and what did you mean by re installing PC?

No that the tool in the rack PC is SIMATIC DIAG BASE V1.4. Also regarding the template where are using for the Server is "Sample Devise".

Under SNMP, the RuggedCom switch and time server all of them are connected and showing the health status. Regarding the FS and HMI and GW all of them showing the standby mode.

reinstalling PC is actually reinstalling Sicam PAS.


I didn't understand. Sicam PAS is communicating with Ruggedcom and NTP server over SNMP,
butnot with the FS and HMI?

Dear Mike,

please see the below details regarding the problem,

Operating System detail & SW,

- Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit

- SICAM PAS PQS V3

- SIMATIC IPC DIAG MONITOR V4.3

- SIMATIC NET. SOFTNET IE RNA

Problem #1: SNMP Devise in the UI Operating is showing only the connected SWITCHES, Time Server. For HMI, Full Server & Gate Way, they are always in the standby mode although,

1- We can ping from full server 1 to 2 and vise verse.

2- We can access remotely from full server 1 to 2 and vise verse.

- For number two we can only make it when the client for Microsoft NW option is: selected.

Note: RUGGEDCOM SWITCHES can’t be access from Full Server, HMI and Gate Way. For this problem we did the following;

We add “TLS_RSA_WITH_DES_CBC_SHA” registry key in the below path; “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Cryptography\Configuration\Local\SSL\00010002”

Dose the added registry key affect our SICAM PAS?

can you please advise if there is any hotfix we need to put in the system

I have a similar problem:
I am using SICAM PAS V7 - SP2 installed on a Simatic IPC647C with windows 7 ultimate SP1.

- the device under SNMPappearsinitsstand by status although it's running and linked to the network.

What can I do to see my device properly started under the SNMP interface?
