I need help to get my Siemens CP 340 RS232C to communicate whit a Vibra HJR-62KDSCE. 

Here ist the spec:

Interface specifications

(1) Transmission system Serial transmission. Start-stop synchronization.

(2) Transmission rate 1200／2400／4800／9600／19200 bps

(3) Transmission codes ASCII codes (8/7 bits)

(4) Signal level Compliant with EIA RS-232C.

HIGH level (data logic 0) +5 – +15 V

Low level (data logic 1) -5 – -15 V

(5) Bit configuration Start bit 1 bit

Data bits 8/7 bits

(7 bits can be specified for extended 7-digit numeric format.)

Parity bit 0/1 bit

Stop bits 2/1 bit

(1 bit can be specified for extended 7-digit numeric format.)

(6) Parity bit None/Odd/Even

Is there anything original block for this? which? Guide?

better will be for first tell us, which SW you're using for PLC project, better with possible Service Packs, Updates?

Edit: also right number of CP340 module will be fine due possible SW functionality.

thnx for info, think all ok. What about your experience of creating communications? You'll create some Send/Receive system of messages with that device. Probably for first I will be try look at documentation to that weight device and set proper COM port configuration, what I saw in poor document which need asian fonts and AdobeR XI, sry. Settings can be I think standard speed:9600, DataBits:8, StopBits:1, Parity:None. This settings you will put also to your PLC HW RS-232 card properties. If you prepare all HW, start creating program. You'll use Function Blocks from PTP library FB2 (Send) and FB3 (Receive). But for first you need to know format of messages to/from that device, look at documentation. If you want right step to programing there can be some help here on forum somewhere, where are examples how create communication. Other question is, in which language you want work (LAD, SCL, ...). Try answer correctly to this, maybe other guys already give you relevant links to study, but I will be happy to your answers pls.

perfect, this library you need for programing. Look at forum for CP340 RS-232 communication, maybe there are also in Step7 Examples, via Open->Examples, but better here on forum. Give us info how you continue...
