SIEMENS NON EEPROM FLOWMETER CONFIRMATION?

Hi Sir/Madam,

Good day!

I would like to ask the ff questions:

1. if Mag 3100+ MAG 6000 is a NON- EEPROM Flowmeter?

2. if Transmag 2  is a NON- EEPROM Flowmeter?

3. Is Sensor Prom and EEPROM the same in Siemens flowmeters?

I wasnt able to configure yet since my client requirement wants a ELECTROMAGNETIC FLOWMETER,  NON EEPROM, PTFE LINER.

The 5000 and 6000 mag transmitter converters all expect to use a Sensor Prom that is characterized for the flow tube that the transmitter connects to.  The Sensor Prom is some form of PROM.

One can only speculate whether the Transmags have an EEProm or not because that sort of detail is not available to mere users, it is restricted and proprietary.  

The Transmags are AC excited, not DC excited and are usually reserved for applications like paper pulp.  AC excitation tends to show zero shift/drift more than DC excitation, which virtually eliminates zero shift/drift.

So if in case,for example mag6000 transmitter need to be replace, their is no need to replace the flow sensor ( for example, mag 5100w), right?  i just need to buy a new Mag6000 + Sensor prom without replacing the working flow sensor.

One of the client complain is that they dont want an EEPROM Transmitter, since if one the transmitter is damaged, you need to replace also the flow  sensor. New EEPROM transmitter have a compatibility issues with the old sensor.

So i can configure the SIEMENS MAG3100 +MAG6000 for client requirement right especially  for water with caustic or acid?
