Currently I am undergoing through Step7 Simatic Manager and WinCC Flexible to understand its internals. It will be great help if somebody helps me in this... Thanks..here is a Question:Using configuration in the Simatic Manager , PLC Messages, Diagnostics messages and process diagnostics messages can be shown on WinCC flex HMI using S7PDIAG. Anybody knows what is the fundamental for communication between Siemens PLC and WinCC HMI?I know the question is little tricky but somebody reverts then its a great helpThanks in advance...

I am interested in how PLC triggers Event IDs to the HMI. Idea isif I am using third party HMI device then how can i connect to the siemens PLC to get this information.
