hello Experts  I am trying to use the TCP Fileserver application (Entry ID:109475508,Entry date:03/07/2017) on CPU 1510Sp1PN. The communication is not been established between the CPU and Application. The Local Network Adapter is not displayed on the application window. (192.168.0.25) The outputs 'Ready to send' and 'Done' outputs of the FB TcpClient are TRUE. No errors on the FB. Please help. Relevant Screen shots are attached.

Which FW Version of CPU you use? The FB you use has as connection parameters "TCON_param". This is not compatible with newer Firmware of CPU (up to V2.0). Perhaps you need the newer on "TCON_IP_V4".

Other possiblility: Firewall on PC blocks communication?

The ip of server is 192.168.0.25 (REM_ADDR in TCON_Param). So why is in Screenhot "Application_2" a Client with IP 192.168.0.25 shown as disconnect? What is the IP of the CPU?

Also: You can test the functionality of server with the integrated TCP Client.

- The PLC CPU is 1510SP-1 PN firmware V2.1

- Firewall messages are not displayed while sending data from PLC

- IP address of the CPU is 192.168.0.1

- IP address of the PC is 192.168.0.25

- I have tried to add client in the Application using 192.168.0.1 and it displayed 'connection error'.  Then for curiosity I tried with 192.168.0.25, got connected and then disconnected when the add client window was closed. That is the reason Screenshot "Application_2" a Client with IP 192.168.0.25 shown as disconnect.

the integrated TCP-Client "Add Client" is only on local host.

If you click on "Add Client", a new window appears and you can connect to server (over local host).
More information you also find in description at the entry.

If you want to connect CPU to server, only start server and define port.

This port must be configured in TCON_PARAM as remote Port.

But please inform you, if your TCON-Block really need TCON_PARAM (and not TCON_IP_V4).

in TIA Portal "task" you can choose, which version of TCON you want to use. With TCON V4.0, you need "TCON_IP_V4", with TCON V2.3 you need TCON_Param.

I think, your Parameters in TCON_Param are in some cases wrong

TCON_IP_V4 is more easier to configure as TCON_PARAM. But you need to change the program in some parts...it this is also possible to do:-)
