Hello My company like a lot of another companies use less and less real servers. We use only différents IBM 3650 M4 and, everyones contain virtuals servers to différents applications or services.... We work on VMWARE SPHERE V5.0 ENTREPRISE IBM, DELL, HP.....everyone have got VMWARE solution for companies. Less maintenance, quick save....., less power consumtion, a lot of thing to prove it's a good thing to choose a virtual machine instead of real machines.... In mycase : My IT leader, deploy for me 2 virtuals machines. 1 WINDOWS 2008R2 64bits Normal server 1 WINDOWS 7 64bits WINCC RT PRO 12SP1 : WINDOW 2008R2 64bits Normal Server I put to the WINDOWS 2008R2 Normal Server, WINCC RT PRO 12SP1 and machine RT application . Application running but no network outgoing communication seem working (no firewall). I see 000 values to my PLC. WINDOW 7 64bits : I put to the WINDOWS 7 64bits, WINCC RT PRO 12SP1 and machine RT application . Application running but no network outgoing communication seem working (no firewall). I see 000 values to my PLC. Results are same on 2 differents systems... TIA V12SP1 : To make some test, I install in each systems, TIA V12SP1. Result is same on the 2 systems : When i would like to have acces to my plc : only "PLCSIM" network card detected....no network card.... TIA need a real network card.... but using a virtual machine, it's using a network link to a real network card....not a real network card....
How to do ? Thanks AttachmentVirtual_Machine_VMWARE.zip (314 Downloads) |

I have found my response here : https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll/csfetch/67653438/STEP_7_V12_compatibility_list_e.pdf?func=cslib.csFetch&nodeid=68042198 VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi) 5 *8) *8) Actually the function “PLC > Edit Ethernet Node …”of STEP 7 V12 (TIA Portal) is not running in combination with the software VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi) 5. Microsoft and Siemens are working together to achieve a short time solution |
