You local Siemens representative is almost right - it was only 1 version of Step7, which allowed such thing (not sure i call exact number). Now it Siemens reader can't be used for such purpose.

Initially i didn't mean Siemens soft/hardware. I mean ordinary software (WinHex or someting like) and ordinary card-reader. You can then perform byte-by-byte copy. Please ensure you copy "physically" - i.e. sector by sector and not "logicaly" - i.e. copying partition.
