Simaitic NET Core servers hang

jrattham Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I was wondering whether anyone has come across a problem with the Simatic NET servers hanging on startup. My application server is on a Win 2003 Server box and the problem is that the status of all the Simatic NET servers under the services continuously shows "Starting". When attempting to add agroup under the SimaticNet.OPC server in SCOUT the application hangs. Hopefully someone out there has encountered this before, as I could do with some help ..... Thanks in advance.

I ask this because not all versions of SIMATIC Net support use under Win2003 only 2005 (also called 6.3). And also for use under Win2003 SP1 there is Version 2005 + HF1. For the exact information about compatibility: Which SIMATIC NET CD is released for which operating system? Best regards, INS

jrattham Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Dear INS Many thank for your response. To answer you question I'm running version 6.3. I have finally managed to resolve this problem by re-installing the SimaticNET software. Apparently there was a power failure and the UPS supporting the Server failed causing the server to crash. I believe that this power outage may have corrupted the installation. Again thanks for you help. Kind regards.
