Hello Oysten; This webpage from the Siemens Industry Mall presents all the CPUs of the S7-300 family, collected in 4 distinct groups: Standard, Compact, Technology and Failsafe CPUs. https://eb.automation.siemens.com/goos/catalog/Pages/ProductData.aspx?catalogRegion=WW&language=en&nodeid=5000039&tree=CatalogTree®ionUrl=/ Compact CPUs (such as your S7-313C) have integrated IOs and specialized technology functions such as positionning, high-speed counting, etc.. that are not available on standard CPUs. Now, on both standard and compact CPUs you might have a -2DP extension, which indicates the presence of an integrated Profibuis-DP port that would allow you to connect to an ET 200_ station over Profibus, or a -2PN/DP extension that would also allow connection to an ET 200_ station over Profinet IO. If the CPU you have is strictly a 313C (no extension) then you only have an MPI port on the CPU for programming. If you want to connect to Profibus-DP you will need an additional CP 342-5 (6GK7342-5DA03-0XE0) inthe rack: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/42319858 If you want to setup a Profinet network you will need a CP 343-1 Advanced (6GK7343-1GX30-0XE0 ) in your S7-300 configuration. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/29246405 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
