Hello I want to buy Sinamics V60 drive and servo with brake. Is this compatible withmy simatic cpu 1212c and ktp-400 panel, so that I can control the servo engine from the ktp400 panel in all possible movements. My hardware: Thanks in advance. Hi there.I invite you to read the "Getting Started" manual for the V60. The connections for V60 to S7-200 and S7-1200 is shown (see attached JPEG). Something you have to remember about the V60 is that it is an "power amplifier". The S7-1200 drives the V60 as if it is a stepper motor, using STEP and DIRECTION output pulses. You do not use communications but hardwire signals (see JPEG). The S7-1200 is a very capable PLC to do open loop motion control. You will have to do all motion control within the PLC. You will have to look into how to utilise the S7-1200's power for motion control. "SIMATIC STEP 7 S7-1200 Motion Control V11 SP2" is a good guide. If you would rather want the drive to handle the motion.. look at the V90. The PLC and HMI you have planned will work well together. Personally I would have made the same hardware selection (PLC, HMI and Servo), when Siemens brand had to be used. Please return if you have detail questions for us. w |

Ops, I want the servoengine for these movements:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8sCEgmVAhA#t=100cnc, plotting, printing and not only for power amplifier. Which drive and servo (+-4 nm + brake) should I take? Is this only the SINAMICS S110. Thanks in advance |

You can get much of the same servo functionality but you will have have to code this yourself into the PLC. For the servo applications I work with, the V60 fits like a clove. It is the case of "Time is Money".. so what do you have? time or money? I recommend for you to post your SINAMICS S110 questions in the group: SINAMICS. Cheers. w |
