Simatic Logon 1.3 in WinCC Server-Client SCADA

I require user authorisations for server and client scada's. I am using WinCC V6.2 and logon 1.3. Is it required to have simatic logon installed in all WinCC Clients? Is it possible to use simatic logon from WinCC Server for logging in client (Without installing logon in client machine)? Can any one help me?

See the link http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22560024 The no. of required SIMATIC Logon licenses is determined by the no. of Clients and Single Stations accessing the applicationen for which SIMATIC Logon is used as access protection.

Using simatic logon viewer we can see users logged in the system till date. if we have simatic logon for server and client scada's, is it possible to see user logins in client machines through Server Simatic logon viewer.?

Bilal Moolla Posts: 133 Rating: (9)	Hi Shiv The one thing that I find interesting is that after you install SIMATIC logon V1.3. When you start windows your initial user name will be : UserAdmin and password field will be blank. I know thats not answering your question, but just something to note! Because I have just installed it. Cheers.

I think in Server - Client Application, Simatic Logon Event viewer in Server should show the users logged in clients also. Since if any one of clients is crashed, there is no possibility to get the login informations happend in client PC. Regards Shiv
