I have some questions about the Simatic Logon function, and I am trying to find out if this is something for us or not. We have several different projects to different PLC's and we access them from a multiproject where we have collected them all. We only have one windows login to the computer. Is it possible to set different passwords to each project, so that each manufactor only can make changes on their project? This link says "The access-protected projects can be synchronized in a multiproject." It sounds like it could be possible? I want that everyone can open the multiproject, but not acessing all projects in it. Will this be a problem? https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&objId=41993996&load=treecontent&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&objaction=csview&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW How much is the access limited? Can they still look in the project? Can they still edit, but not download? If this is possible, what will happen if we want to "release" one project from the multiproject, and insert it on another computer that does not have Simatic Logon? (not all PLC's are connected to this multiproject-computers network). Can we still open it on another computer without Simatic Logon as long as we know the password? I have read the link above and also the tutorial in the link below, but have not find all my answers. https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=34008480&caller=view |
