@JesperMP Posts: 54 Rating: (5)	Hi. In STEP7 v5.4 there should be a new option, "Simatic Logon". I suppose this is an option that has to be purchased separately. I would like to know if this somehow protects me from someone uploading the project from the PLC. Or is it only a protection of the offline project. Myscenario is that I have some code blocks with know-how that I want to protect. I have to grant my customers access to the PLC in order for them to make small changes to other parts of the program, so a global password is not good enough for protection. I know about the "know-how protect" feature. But as you probably also know this is very easily bypassed. I am sure that there must be others with the same wishes as me.

@JesperMP Posts: 54 Rating: (5)	OK, it looks like I have misinterpreted what Simatic Logon really is. It appears that it is intended for user with HMI programs and not for protecting the PLC program itself. Thanks.
