Also tried copying from CD Drive to HD but no luck. Anybody run across this? System is Windows 7 Pro, 32Bit, Step 7 Pro5.5, WinCC Flexible 2010...

This could have saved you a lot of time (and probably irritation) during the installation of your system. Simatic Net v2008 is not released to be installed with Windows 7 at all. More information can be found in the ReadMe file on the CD or in the following FAQ: Which SIMATIC NET CD is released for which Microsoft Windows operating system? And there is also something mentioned in a Delivery Release about WinCC v7.0 SP2: SIMATIC WinCC V7.0 SP2 Released for Delivery I hope this information helps you to a proper installed system!

Chris@ICS Regular Member Joined: 12/25/2010 Last visit: 8/28/2024 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Good morning INS, You are correct, I mis-spoke when I said Simatic Net 2008 as I had just finished installing 2008 on a Windows XP Pro machine. This install is actually Simatic Net 8.0 Sp1. It appears to hang due to an issue with InstallShield-go figure. Is there a way to look at the install logs to see what's causing the problem? Thanks for your help!
