Simatic Net Connections

gazzap Posts: 23 Rating: (4)	Hi, I am using Simatic Net on an IBM server (4 off) This is connected to 57 S7-319 plcs. This connection works really well, however I also have 150 pc's running as clients reading the data from the OPC servers. Is there a maximum mumber of clients that can connect to the OPC server? I find that If I connect more than 50 to each OPC server, the connection of the client becomes extremely slow and eventually all clients loose connection. I cannot find in any documentation the max limit of clients. Thansk & Regards, Gazzap

It'd be also advisable to check on the performance data of your PC.

gazzap Posts: 23 Rating: (4)	Thanks very much for the link. I shall read that. Each server is an IBM 3650 blade 2 x quad zeon processor with 8 GB ram. for information. Th eTask manager shows processors running at around 5%.
