Simatic net opc and simulator

dilipan_c Posts: 34 Rating: (2)	hi could u tell me whether simatic net opc server communicates with Step 7 plc sim, i am having v5.4 simulator i am having s7-400 system, which is in site and the scada is IFix, ifix communicates with s7-400 plc via by simatic net opc for inhouse testing i need simatic net opc server to communicates with step 7 plc simulator regards dilipan

The pc connects to S7-400 with ethernet(e.g. cp1613) c. The pc has been installed NET opc server. You can see the NET manual. It teaches you how to set PC configuratior.(e.g. using XDB file...) I think OPC scout is a good tool for testing. FYR. Angus.

This is not WinCC. If Ifix SCADA system is like Intouch SCADA, I am afraid this type of simulation is not possible. Regards Hristo Mihalev

Check if this tool will do the job. http://nettoplcsim.sourceforge.net/index.html There has some restrictions but I think will do the job. I tried with Intouch and everything was OK.
