My company has been working with Siemens equipment mainly. 

I've Step 7 v5.5 installed, and TIA V13 portal installed and WinCC 7.0.3 installed.

I've tried establish connection with C# and S7-300 using Siemens manuals, and all stuffs inside TIA portal and inside station configurator went well but still nuting comes to c# app.

My question is how can be sure that I have actually Simatic net opc server installed?

 I can insert OPC server inside hardware configuration, I c that they are working inside station configurator, but I wanna exact sign to be 100% sure. Yes I do have this server installed or no. Inside control panel I don't c anything like that. Inside all my installation CDs there is no such a name as Simatic NET OPC server.

You can check in NETPRO active connections.

Moreover you should see physical installation of OPC in your panels!

Open HW configuration and try STATION------> Open Online . If no server it will say "No online connection"

First, you do not install the OPC Server alone, you install SIMATIC NET (and the OPC Server will be installed at the same time). SIMATIC Net is normally part of the WinCC delivery (I expect it to be on one of the WinCC CDs) but not installed automatically when installing WinCC. The installed Simatic Net must be compatible with the WinCC installed on the same machine.

If you have installed Simatic Net, you must:
- find Simatic Net in the control panel ==> Programs and features 
- find a configuration tool for Simatic Net on the desktop, or via the start menu (Communication settings).
- find a test client called OPC Scout wich is also installed.
- And normally in the Windows services you will see Simatic Net services running.

If you are not sure which OPC Servers and Specifications are available you can use an OPC Client with browsing functionality to check which OPC Servers a re available (OPC Scout or UA Expert for example)

Alternately you can install Remote Desktop Client,  and try to call this OPC. If physically exists it should open asking domain name.

Your Post is not understandable to me.

If I understand it right, you mean to check if the Computer on which the OPC Server runs is available over Remote Desktop???

If yes , this is not a good option. You have to activate the Remote Option on the Computer first you want to get access to. Then it works only with Microsoft Operation System. And it says nothing about OPC Server. OPC Server is a Piece of Software not a Computer.

Probably i missunderstood. Perhaps you can explain better.
