edmondog Posts: 2 Rating: (1)	I'm trying to install simatic net v8.2+sp1 on a new pc with windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit, but the installation program stops complaining that: "The software cannot be installed on your computer with the operating system Windows Vista Business Edition x64" !!!! What can I do? the OS there is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit just installed, out of the box on a brand new Dell Optiplex 9010...

edmondog Posts: 2 Rating: (1)	I got the solution myself. For some strange reason the install executable was preset to "run as" Windows Vista. Changed that and the installation is now working...

Which version of Server datacenter is it exactly (check it with winver from the commandline) Regards Christoph

If yes then the Setup Frame Application have a list of suitable OS Systems and if the Registry tells the Setup installer "Windows Server Datacenter SP2" then it won´t work! here ist the List out of the Download FAQ for ALM: for the 32-bit operating systems below: MS Windows XP SP2 or SP3 MS Windows Server 2003 SP1 or SP2 Standard Edition with or without R2 MS Windows Server 2008 with or without SP2 MS Windows 7 (32 Bit) with or without SP1 MS Windows 8 and 8.1 and for the 64-bit operating systems below: MS Windows Server 2008 R2 with or without SP1 MS Windows 7 (64 Bit) with or without SP1 MS Windows 8 and 8.1 MS Windows Server 2012 Bye Murof
