Last month I configured a comfort panel as OPC UA Server and tested it with OPC Scout V10 of the SIMATIC NET V12 SP2 installation, everything works good!

Last week, I upgraded my SIMATIC NET to V13 and I can't connect to the OPC UA Server of my comfort panel.

If I connect an other computer with NET V12 SP2, everything is ok.

I realize when you connect with NET V12, a message appears to upgrade the certificate and there is no message in NET V13.

So, I suppose I must import certificate somewhere in NET V13.

I looked in the "Communication settings" of the "Control panel", but I'm not sure how to do this...

Do you have an idea?

Just to put you up to date with the project.

I finally got it, thanks to the USA technical support.

It is strange but if you want to use the OPC Scout of SIMATIC NET V13 as an OPC UA Client to communicate with the OPC UA Server of a Comfort panel, you need to:

-Add an other Comfort panel into your project

-Add a new connection into the "Connections" folder of the new Comfort panel

-Choose OPC UA as the "Communication driver" of the new connection

-Select the OPC UA server of the Comfort panel in the "Parameter" of the connection

-Add a tag in a HMI tag list

-Select the new connection in the "Connection" of the new tag

-Compile and download the Comfort panel that is the OPC UA Server

The comfort panel that is the OPC UA client does not even need to exist in real life.

It just need to exist in the project.

By this time, you will be able to access to the OPC UA server of the Comfort panel with OPC Scout V10 of SIMATIC NET V13.

It seems that as soon as there is a OPC UA client in the project, you are able to access the server.

a new TP700 and configure that as an OPC UA Client connected to the OPC UA Server on the existing TP700. When this is done, open the HMI-Tags and create a new tag there. When the connection is created, the connection needs to be set to the OPC UA connection and afterwards browse for tags (Button with the three "..." that appears when entering the PLC-Tag-field). Now it should be checked, if the OPC UA Server (TP700) can be found and the tags of it used.
