Simatic PDM V6.0 SP2

rmart Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	We are in the final testing stages of developing DDL files for an instrument. Our situation is the following: 1. Using the latest version of PDM (shipping for one month per Siemens V6.0 SP2) 2. Device DDL loads into PA Device Catalog 3. When we select the DDL files from the catalog we get error messages 4. Error Msg: DDL compiler error with the file location and (1412) Error Msg: Device description could not be loaded Simatic PDM Tag (3340:1000) Please reinstall device of Simatic PDM 5. A generic profile does load and works with our sensor however it is not optimal Other information: Our DDL's load with versions of PDM prior to V6.0 SP2. We understand that device integration was changed on the latest version. We have tried reloading PDM and several iterations of DDL files and the same error appears. We have reported the above to Siemens. Does anyone have any thoughts. Where can we get older versions of PDM such as V6.0 SP1?

rmart Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	PDM V6.0 SP2 gives me DDL compiler errors per my previous note. Previous versions work when integrating a device not on the CD provided by Siemens. Are there known bugs in PDM V6.0 SP2?

Hi rmart, SIMATIC PDM V6.0 Service Pack 2 Updategives the information of the service pack, so far I can see there is no trouble known with this service pack SP2 for PDM V6.0. There is some harmonising of the data with the other descriptionfiles of the devices.
