Simatic Rack PC with PROFIBUS/MPI Compatibility

We currently use the CP5613A1 PROFIBUS card in an industrial PC but we are considering moving over to the Simatic rack PC with integral profibus card. Are there any compatibility issues we need to think about? In particular, can we continue to use the 'DP Base Programming Interface for CP 5613/CP 5614' interface with the CP5622 card which is in the Simatic Rack PC?

Based on the following document, I would doubt that you can implement the DP-Bse Programming on a CP 5622:

You will see in the first table provided in the document that the DP-Base Programming Software is described as a Hardnet product, whereas the CP 5622 is a Softnet processor, This would make them incompatible, they require different Simatic Net drivers.

The only suggestion I can make is to open a Support Request so that you can ask Siemens Support directly if they have some suggestions, besides the purchase (or transfer from your existing system) of a CP 5613 in the new Rack PC. See the link ast the right of this page.
