SIMATIC S7-1500 Communication Modules

Interfaces for communication via PROFINET and partly also PROFIBUS DP are already integrated in the CPUs. Communication modules increase the communication capabilities of the S7-1500 / ET200MP through additional functions or further interfaces and increase the flexibility and performance of automation solutions with SIMATIC S7-1500 / ET 200MP. Thus, complex automation structures can be set up via additional interfaces or processes can be optimised via the connection to the corporate management level.

The modules offer:

1. Serial communication via point-to-point connection
2. IO-Link master
3. Ethernet/PROFINET
4. PROFIBUS

You can configure the communication modules directly in the TIA Selection Tool.
