SIMATIC S7-1500 Software Controller Installation Error

santhosh sundaram Posts: 171 Rating: (43)	Hi I have SIMATIC_CPU_1507S_V2_1.exe software downloaded from CPU 1500 . Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64bit OS. Also there is no siemens sotware installed except latest prosave. While installing it's showing this error. Even I have sufficient space in requested drive. Attachment Capture.JPG (536 Downloads)

Do you have unpartioned space on the boot disk? you know that the Software Controller 1507 is not released for a installation on normal PC? The IPC need some special HDD and Partition shematics which not matched from your system. Regards Christoph

Regards Christoph My D drive is a partition of the boot drive and there is no unpartitioned space in the boot disk..I cant see brief explanation anywhere for this problem.. Could you explain this??

One of the following requirements must be met for this: ● The partition style must be a "Master Boot Record (MBR)". You can find the partition style in the "Volumes" tab under "Computer Administration > Data storage medium management > Properties of the data storage medium". ● At least 401 MB of unpartitioned memory on the hard drive ● At least 401 MB available memory on the expanded partition on the hard drive ● At least 450 MB available memory on the unencrypted hard drive D:\\ Manual creation of the CPU volume If the CPU volume cannot be created automatically, you have the following options available: ● The installation process outputs a message that provides you the opportunity to manually perform the partitioning. Alternatively, you can cancel the installation process at any time. ● You must remove files from the D:\\ partition, since there is insufficient storage space available to perform the partitioning of the hard drive. ● You must manually decrypt the D:\\ partition

Make sure your disk is MBR. thankyou.... still i dont have a PC to check this..I've tried this in a temporary one which I got. Can you show me screenshot of the Disk Management of that system where you've installed???
