SIMATIC S7-1500 Technology modules

Technology modules, which can be used either centrally in the SIMATIC S7-1500 station or decentrally in the SIMATIC ET 200MP IO system, offer hardware-based signal pre-processing for extremely fast counting and measuring as well as precise position detection for incremental and SSI absolute encoders. Intuitive parameterisation and efficient programming are carried out using technology objects in the TIA Portal. A fast reaction to internal or external events and counter values is supported by different process alarms. The behaviour of the TM modules with regard to a "stop of the CPU" can be parameterised.

The modules are available as:

- Counter module

- Position detection module

- Interface module for pulse train output

- Weighing module
