rahilansari Posts: 54 Rating: (0)	Hi All One Of My Client Has A System Running On Simatic S7 300 CPU.They Want To Add One Valve And For Doing That We Need To Add One DI/DO Card As There Is No Memory Space Available In The Current Project....Also There Is No Space In The Panel So That We Can Add DI/DO Module To The Rack. Note That The Rack Is Not Simatic Rack Its Just Simple One i.e.,CPU Is Connected To The Power Supply With Hard Wire. So Can We Move The Power Supply To Somewhere Else In The Panel And Add DI/DO Card To The Rack..??? Please Advice

One not you can only place8 modules in a rack. In case you have more, you need an extention rack. Regards, Marcjan

Only option i see is : replace the last 2 modules (10+11) by 1 module with 4 AI/AO 12/14 bit 6ES7 335-7HG02-0AB0 Analog I/O module AI4/14 bits + AO4/12 bits. Then you have slot 11 for the new module. Try in your hardware config. if that is an option first. Regards, Marcjan

The Only Thing I Want To Clarify That After Changing Module 10 And 11 By An AI/AO Module ,What Will Be The Effect From Software Point Of View... I Mean I Just Need To Configure The Addresses In New AI/AO Card As Per The Previos Modules(Exactly Same) Or Something New I Need To Do.

But in your case it seems wouldn't be possible, according to the current addresses. So, you will need to make a chnages in software also. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
