Simatic Timer in S7-1200

A very good afternoon.

I am currently using TIA Portal Basic Version 14.1 (S7 1500 CPU1212C). Just a simple question, I am very new on TIA, and I have one question regarding Timers ( S7 Timer and IEC Timer) Does this type of PLC support the S7 Timer. and if it does how can one upload one to the software

Your question contains conflicting statements. Perhaps these notes will help.

1. The CPU1212C is not an S7-1500 PLC; it is an S7-1200 PLC.
   
   
2. There is no such thing as "S7 Timers". It is historically "S5 Timers" which are named "Simatic Timers". These are "hardware" timers - predefined memory storage and handling mechanism.
   
   
3. The S7-1500 has "Simatic Timers" just like the S7-300 and S7-400 did. It is for compatability purposes. The S7-1200 does not have these timers.
   
   
4. It is a good idea to use the software IEC-timers when working with either the S7-1500 or S7-1200. Working with TIME datatype (used by IEC-timers) is also easier than working with S5-TIME datatype (unit used by "Simatic Timers").
