kosmous Experienced Member Joined: 1/24/2009 Last visit: 3/27/2022 Posts: 85 Rating: (7)	Hi, our configuration is SIMODRIVE 611 ( 6SN1145-1AA01-0AA0 ),SIMODRIVE LT-module ( 6SN1123-1AA00-0AA1),3phase permament magnet motor with encoder and PLC S5. On Simodrive 611 : Leds on Simodrive 611 ( see attached photo) are permament off. On Terminal X111: 73.1 & 72 we have alarm ! 1. This alarm means ONLY internal fault of module ? On SIMODRIVE LT-module : Leds of SIMODRIVE LT-module are permament off. 2. This module is feeding from SIMODRIVE 611 ( 6SN1145-1AA01-0AA0 ). Propably the leds on this module are turned off because of the malfunction of the first module ? Motor's shaft can be moved by hand. It shouldn't. On the modules there are not ports for laptop connection. Is there any way for diagnostics using pc or with voltage measurements using multimeter ? Power supply to the modules is ok. 3.Finally the alarm output of SImodrive 611 means that we must replace it ? Thank you ! Attachment SIMODRIVE_1.jpg (138 Downloads)

W_Gonzalez Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello friend. For that you describe, at first glance it does seem that you have a failure in 1145. To clarify further, you can turn the power of the 1145 with all the unconnected terminals, exeto the X181, and check if you have the green LED (EXT) lit. If not, your source really is defective. As for contacts X111, they depend on the setup of DIP-2 S1 (Above 1145). About communication with the PC, will depend on the regulator you are using, do not think you Sitou which is ... if you can return with the code (6sn1118-*******) Details of contacts X111 following attachments. All the others LED are OFF even during the normal operation. 1. Attached is the type of the connected step motor. We have disconnected the shaft of the motor from the machine. With the motor ceonnected with the drive, the motor shaft can be turned by hand. Is it normal ? I think it should be magnetized. Hope that the motor does need replacement ! I think that we must replaceSIMODRIVE 611 ( 6SN1145-1AA01-0AA0 ). At the moment we will not replace SIMODRIVE LT-module ( 6SN1123-1AA00-0AA1) ( hope it is ok despite the fact that the LEDs on it are also permamently OFF). What do you suggest ? W_Gonzalez Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello again. The motor shaft will actually stay locked when in operation, but in operation, its source must keep the orange LED (UNIT) lit. For operation, the contacts must be closed at source: 1W1/2w1, 1V1/2v1, 1U1/2U1 (X181); NS1/NS2 (X171); 48/9 and 112/9 (x161); 64/9 and 63/9 (X121). With these contacts closed UNIT LED should be lit. Check these locks if possible. If even with all these closed contacts you do not have the status of UNIT enable the source, I believe that will have to replace the 1145.

kosmous Experienced Member Joined: 1/24/2009 Last visit: 3/27/2022 Posts: 85 Rating: (7)	Thank you for the suggestions, we did this test but the UNIT Led is pemamently OFF ! Only the green LED is ON, all the other LEDs are off. So, the next step is to replace the module 1145 ?

W_Gonzalez Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	If indeed all the contacts that I quoted earlier are shut and the 1145 is not only the UNIT LED on, the next step will be to replace it even. If you want one last test, you can remove the front panel connections and make the locks that I quoted earlier. But if you found that your machine contacts are actually closed on the points mentioned, your Infeed is not working properly.

Check the Input supply at U1, V1, W1. Since your system is PLC, please check PLC logicif the input power is controlled thru PLC. At any case, If this input supply is present, then on infeed unit, GREEN LED i.e. LED no 3 must LIT. Please disconnect the X351 connector & check for GREEN LED status. If not, infeed unit is faulty & needs to be replace/repair. If this GREEN LED is ON, then depeding upon infeed module enable signals output will be ON. HTH.
