The SIMOSIM button is not active

Should I download additional  tool to the SCOUT to activate it ?

1- I am using SIMOTION 425 DP-PN

2-During the istallation there is no selection to install SIMOSIM

I am using Scout Tia portal V5.3.1

the simosim setups are stored on VOL2 and must be installed seperatly.

I have Scout V5.2 and TIA portal V5.3 in my laptop..

as we have known the SIMOSIM with V5.3 only which need to remove your old scout software from the machine.

It is OK, I had removed it and installed V5.3 , after that my SIMATIC ,Then Scout had refused to save any new projects and some time refused to add new axes to SIMOTION..

I guess the SCOUT software had been damaged and need to repair or re-download..

I let the SCOUT V5.3 uninstall the V5.2 by itself which I think it is correct way,Do you ?

Is it possible to Run PLCsim with SIMOSIM to test the communication ?

no this is not possible.

PLCSIM support only S7 communication and other Online Connection as SIMOSIM.

SIMOSIM supports OPC UA . If you use a SIMATIC which supports OPC UA you can make a data access via OPC-UA. For example PLCSim Advanced with SIMOSIM. (If needed a example project for this communication eg.Project SCOUT TIA V5.3 with S7-1500 ) please write a personal message.

it is possible to install SIMOSIM different version (eg 5.2 and V5.3) together on the sam PC.
