maybe you can use unitdatasets.

You can unzip the .dat file -> you obtain an xml file. Then you modify this file : you put the values you want. You rebuild the dat file and put it in the uniddataset folder of the simotion P.

Then you can use the new values in your program to modify system variables if you want

TCP/IP is not a really fast way to communicate. hundred ms do not chock me.

If you want to be a little bit faster you can use udp communication but it's not as safe as tcp/ip.

Or else you can use profinet IO (or IRT) communication with cp1616 in your computer and CBE30 in simotion D. Then you can have communication times from 1ms to 10ms.

any more solution carry out the fast communiction between PC and Simotion ?

If you choose IRT communication the communication time will be fixed. (isochronous real time) So if you set 1ms it will be 1ms. If you choose RT communication the communication time can "change" with the network load but it may be less than 10ms.

The problem of these solution is the price (CP1616 + CBE30) and you have to find the way to manage the profinet communication in your C++ program (I think a dll exist or something like this)

Does some body know how to program the IRT data exchange via cp1616?
